Wild Roots Winter Half-Day Camp (formerly known as "Seasonal Pop-Up")
Date: January 31, 2026
Time: 8am-12pm
Location: Lindenwood Nature Preserve in Fort Wayne, IN
Snack: Pizza cooked over the fire
Ages: 3-13
Description: Join us for a special seasonal half-day camp where kids connect with nature through storytelling, quiet reflection, hands-on learning, and free forest play.
We’ll begin with a short hike into the woods and gather in a circle to share a seasonal poem or story. Children will practice sit-spot reflection, explore fire-building techniques, and take turns cooking a snack (pizza) over the fire. There will also be time for children to wander, play, and discover in the woods.
We’ll end the day by restoring the land and gathering once more to reflect on our time together. It’s a simple, meaningful way to celebrate the season and deepen children’s connection to the natural world.
Notes:
- Lunch will not be provided and children should NOT pack a lunch. Snack will be provided.
- The cost for one registration is $35 per child, so please be sure to purchase the correct number of registrations for your child(ren).
- We are accepting a limited number of parent volunteers! Each volunteer can bring one child for free. Email us at team@wildrootsnbl.com to inquire about volunteering!
