At Wild Roots, we believe children thrive when they are seen, trusted, and connected—to themselves, to others, and to the natural world. We believe that nature is not just a backdrop for learning—it’s a teacher, a playground, and a place to grow. Our programs for children ages 3-13 are designed to nurture your child’s sense of wonder, creativity, and connection to the world around them. Rooted in Montessori principles and inspired by the rhythms of the natural world, we support children as they explore, discover, and grow into compassionate, curious, and capable human beings.

Our Programs

At Wild Roots, all of our programs are grounded in nature, built around the rhythms of the seasons, and designed to meet children where they are—curious, creative, and full of wonder. We offer several nature-based learning opportunities for children ages 3–13, from summer adventures to year-round enrichment and full-time alternative education.

Summer Camps

Our week-long, full-day summer camps are packed with discovery & adventure. Each camp features a unique theme—like Nature + Art, Nature + Science, Nature + Theater, and Nature + Engineering—woven with outdoor exploration, creative expression, & joyful community-building. Campers hike, build, observe, create, & play in the natural world, guided by caring educators who foster curiosity, collaboration, & respect.

Our Curriculum Philosophy

Our curriculum is guided by a blend of Montessori principles and lessons, nature-based education, and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) integration. We prioritize child-led learning, hands-on discovery, and real-world application. Lessons are woven into the environment around us—from tracking animal signs to engineering stick bridges or painting with clay pigments. Every experience is grounded in respect, curiosity, and the belief that children are capable of shaping a better world.
