At Wild Roots Nature Based Learning, we believe children thrive when they are deeply seen, supported, and empowered to grow in connection with themselves, their community, and the natural world. Rooted in Montessori principles and grounded in equity, we provide inclusive, anti-bias, neurodivergent-affirming education that nurtures curiosity, confidence, and environmental stewardship.

Our Branches

Wild Roots is a living ecosystem where every service is deeply intertwined, drawing from the same core values. While we offer distinct paths through Wild Roots Outdoor Education and Wild Roots Montessori School, they are nourished by the same root system: a devotion to Montessori principles, nature-based pedagogy, and a commitment to equity. Like the forest itself, these branches are inseparable—working in harmony to provide families with everything from immersive seasonal experiences to a lifelong educational home.

Wild Roots Montessori School -- Opening Fall 2026!

Wild Roots Outdoor Education

WROE is designed to be flexible, community-facing, and responsive. It serves a wide range of learners through field trips, half-day and seasonal programs, and camps, offering entry points for families, schools, and partners who may be new to Montessori or nature-based education.

Field Trips for Fort Wayne Learners

We partner with public, private, and non-traditional learning environments to provide experiential, hands-on programs that bring science, social studies, and environmental education to life. Our field trips connect students directly to local ecosystems while encouraging critical inquiry and stewardship, while also allowing time for free exploration in the outdoors.
