Our Philosophy
Child-Centered Learning
We follow the Montessori philosophy of child-led, hands-on learning in mixed-age environments. Children are trusted to follow their curiosity, build independence, and engage deeply in meaningful work.
Inclusive & Affirming Community
We are committed to building an inclusive and affirming learning environment, with a focus on equity for children and families who have not always been fully supported in traditional school settings.
This includes intentionally supporting:
- Neurodivergent learners
- LGBTQIA+ children and families
- Children and families who identify as Black, Brown, Indigenous
- Those who have experienced marginalization or exclusion in other educational environments
Rooted in Community & Nature
Learning extends beyond the classroom. Children build real relationships with their city, their environment, and the people around them.
