Tuition & Accessibility at WRMS

We believe access to a meaningful, child-centered education matters.

Wild Roots Montessori School is committed to making our programs accessible to families with a wide range of financial circumstances. We offer a sliding scale tuition model, along with state-funded options, so that cost is not a barrier for many families.

What Families Typically Pay

Tuition varies based on eligibility, but most families fall within the following ranges:

  • WITH state funding (ages 5–13): approximately $0 – $2,500 per year
  • WITHOUT state funding: $1,500 – $9,800 per year

Each family’s tuition is determined individually based on income eligibility guidelines.

If you’re unsure where you might fall, we’re always happy to talk it through with you.

How Sliding Scale Tuition Works

Our tuition is aligned with Indiana Income Eligibility guidelines (FRL).

This means:

  • Families contribute at a level that reflects their financial capacity
  • Tuition is adjusted to create broader access to the program
  • The same high-quality Montessori experience is offered to all students, regardless of tuition level

We approach this process with care, transparency, and respect for each family’s circumstances.

State Funding Options

Many families qualify for additional support through state-funded programs:

  • Ages 5–13: Tuition may be reduced to approximately $0 – $2,500 per year
  • Age 4: Families may qualify for On My Way Pre-K, which further reduces tuition
  • Ages 3–4 (without Pre-K funding): Sliding scale tuition applies ($1,500 – $9,800)

If you’re not sure whether you qualify, we can help guide you through that process.

Payment Options

We offer flexible ways to pay tuition:

  • Pay in full upfront
  • 10-month payment plan

A Note on Accessibility

We know that cost is an important part of making decisions as a family.

At Wild Roots, our goal is to balance sustainability with accessibility—so that more children can experience a learning environment where they are deeply seen, respected, and supported.

Many of our families do not pay the full tuition.

Every family’s situation is different, and we’re here to help you explore what this could look like for yours. We encourage families to reach out even if they are unsure about affordability.
