Wild Roots Spring Homeschool Session is 12 weeks long. This session runs from February 27 - May 29, 2026.

Details:

• Start Date: Friday, February 27, 2026
• End Date: Friday, May 29, 2026
• Fridays from 9am - 2pm
• 12 Weeks of Science/Nature Based Class for ages 3-13

Spring Science/Nature Based Class Educational Plan:

Focus: Renewal, interdependence, and cause & effect in nature

Life Science:

• Study metamorphosis (frogs, butterflies) and plant germination
• Observe pollinators and plant reproduction
• Explore interdependence in ecosystems: soil, water, insects, roots

Earth & Space Science:

• Model erosion and weathering using soil and water play
• Explore the water cycle 
• Study soil layers and explore the rock cycle

Physical Science:

• Explore light and reflection through puddles, prisms, and sun observation
• Investigate water flow, gravity, and absorption in natural environments
• Use tools to measure rain, wind, and temperature

Engineering, Technology, and Applications of Science

• Design a rainwater collection or irrigation system
• Build bug hotels or pollinator gardens
• Construct a mini wetland model to explore water purification and ecosystem interdependence
